come join us as we hike on into fall! we have so many wonderful additions to our group, as our families are growing and the needs are evolving. our website is in the process of a revamp. we have more options for walking-aged children. we still have our amazing hikes taking place each week.
here is our schedule for the week:
monday, october 25
9 AM-11 AM - Z-O-O
nashville zoo
we will meet outside the main gate at 9 AM and stay until around 11 AM (or feel free to stay as long as you choose). if you do not have a membership, please email bambinobrigade@gmail.com so we can assure you get in with the guest passes we have.
wednesday, october 27
8:30 AM - hike
radnor lake, granny white entrance
multiple hiking options - from around 2 miles up to 5 miles. whatever your desire, most likely we will have someone going that hike. this hike leaves promptly at 8:30 AM, so if you are running late, no worries. you can join us for a kids' nature walk shortly after 9 AM and either try to catch up with the earlier hike, take off on your own after some visiting, or remain with the later group.
9:00 AM-10:30 AM - kids' nature walk
radnor lake, granny white entrance
this is a new hike for us. this may appeal to home school parents and their bambinos or mamas home with their little walkers. we will have a nature walk to connect with mother earth and embrace the season. this hike will be perfect for new walkers, as we will be rather slow, to see all that nature has to offer at radnor. this hike can have some structure to it, meaning we may talk some about leaf identification, changes in season, or wildlife we see, but most importantly we are walking to have fun and allow our children (and our selves) to be around one another.
friday, october 29
9:00 AM - hike
radnor lake, granny white entrance
come join us for a hike with fellowship and exercise. all levels of hiker are welcome. this hike has had many new comers each week and we are so excited about this hike. come out and support, wear your little one, and enjoy this beautifully changing season!
3:30 PM-5:00 PM - kids' nature walk/ romping around :)
ellington agricultural center
park at the top of the hill. if you come in the main entrance off hogan road, go up the hill to the right and find parking anywhere around the grounds. we meet that the deck with picnic tables. this time has become a time for pure romping around. we may hike some, we may see the horses, or the kids may just roll down one of the many large hills on the grounds. whatever the choice, it has been a beautifully fun end to a wonderful bambino brigade week!

* our fellow hiker, Kacy, and her family now have sweet little Theo here. her help is gone this week, so please help her out! if you are interested in bringing a meal to her or help out in anyway, sign up through this calendar: http://mealbaby.com/viewregistry/240700.
* November 13 has been recommended as a day to get together as families - bring spouses, children, etc. if this date works well for you, please let me know. time is tentative 4ish on. maybe a potluck! we are securing a location at this time. we would love to bring in the entire family into our community.
