wednesday & friday - july 14 & 16

happy week brigade!

we have been out of town all week and will not be there this wednesday for hiking, but I know you all will still be there, ready to take on those hills! I miss you all so much and look forward to seeing you all this friday, if things go as planned.

wednesday, july 14
*7:30 AM*
fast-paced, early morning hike.
to beat the heat, some mamas will be hiking at 7:30 AM. this will be a fast-paced hike.

*9:30 AM*
we have multiple options for hikes. some take south lake trail for shorter legs, while others are trucking up ganier and coming back south lake. whatever your desire, most likely we will have someone going that hike. please bring water and sunscreen and bug spray! it is hot and bugs are out!

if interested, some have discussed heading down to Sevier Park for lunch. bring a picnic if you would like to join!

friday, july 16
9:30 AM
ellington agricultural center
meet at the iris garden, which is your first right after entering the gate - we will have a short hike, we may get to see the horses, and eat some lunch! it is hot, so we may cut it shorter than hikes have been in the past!

our rain policy is hike as long as there is no thunder or lightening!

*a note to all friday fun-day attendees. from here on out, we will only be meeting at ellington agricultural center. we may meet at warner park nature center for special events, but no longer on fridays for now.*

*window clings
window clings are IN! YAY! I am so excited. they look amazing. if you have already paid $5, I will get you one when I see you. otherwise, we are selling them for $5 right now!
5" x 3", rectangular clear cling, white ink

* TBN
we have received about 10 profiles. as soon as we have 20 I will create a digital book that we can all have. I am going to re-post some information from last week, as I have not received much response:
we have something new we are going to begin - it's called *THE BRIGADE NETWORK*. This is going to be a great way for us to keep in contact beyond our hike, as well as get to know each other a little more. To be a part of TBN, please email questions to the following questions. I will compile a list and email that to the group members that want it. I will not post this to the site until we get a little more security going on here!

1. Name, childrens' names, email, phone number, area of town
2. What are your skills/ talents/ parts of yourself you really enjoy sharing with others?
3. Do you have a blog? Are you on other social networking sites (Facebook, etc.)?
4. Would you be willing to "baby-swap" (swap days for child-watching, not actually swap babies)?
5. A brief profile with anything else you would like to include.
6. Please send a picture (unless I already have one), so people can put faces with names a little easier.

If you choose not to participate in this, no worries; you can still hike with the group! this is simply to get us all doing more of what we love and getting deeper into this community we are coming to love more!

happy hiking!
