what a beautiful hike today! the sun was shining, deer were grazing, little ones were chattering (and some a little fussy, no doubt). we had nine mamas and ten kiddos. we hiked about three miles in about an hour and a half.
during this hike one of our discussions was about dads and other care-givers coming to hike with us. bambino brigade is all inclusive to those caring for and wearing little ones that are interested in hiking. this spring and summer we have plans for more whole-family activities - like family hikes, picnics and potlucks! that being said, the brigade is really to promote community, baby wearing and hiking - and why should dads be left out? i am considering altering some of our verbiage (NOT OUR NAME) to include all those wearing children that hike with the brigade. i would love some suggestions for words to use. please email bambinobrigade@gmail.com with your ideas and thoughts!
see you all with older children friday at ellington agricultural center at 9:30 AM. if you are running a little late, just park by the gazebo and walk up the hill - we shouldn't be too far ahead!
happy hiking!
